Our customer service reps are the face of Minick Materials. Every customer who comes in the door, chats on the website or calls in is interacting with our customer service team. Everyday is a little different around here. You’ll work with all types of people from a busy landscaper to avid gardeners. We are always improving our training program to help you become the expert. There’s no greater feeling than watching a customer take your advice and build something incredible.

Work day may periodically extend beyond 8 hours as activity and responsibility dictates; some nighttime and weekend work may be required - particularly during our busy Spring season. Attention to detail, fast paced activity and response time to customer and/or company requirements, and results oriented expectations could be the norm.

Computer-Operating CSR


Job duties:


  • Check out customers
  • Handle cash and other payments
  • Answer phones, distribute mail, light cleaning
  • Learn and retain the knowledge of products and their applications
  • Help customers decide on the best products for their project
  • Help customers calculate quantities to purchase (some simple math involved)
  • Inform team lead of inventory issues
  • Work as part of a team

Requirements:


  • Driver's license
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Preferred:


  • Retail or office experience
  • Computer experience
  • Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Word)
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Ability to work weekends

Non-Computer CSR - Greeter


Job duties:


  • Greet customers
  • “Housekeeping” - Keep office, bathrooms, and store entrance clean and tidy. 
  • Organize/stock samples and literature at counters. Distribute mail.
  • Learn and retain the knowledge of products and their applications
  • Help customers decide on the best products for their project
  • Help customers calculate quantities to purchase (some simple math involved)
  • Work as part of a team

Requirements:


  • Driver's license
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Preferred:


  • Retail or office experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Ability to work weekends
